Polyhedral Perforation
In this method, the ceramic plate is eliminated entirely. Instead, you construct a freestanding, perforated 3D star-grid structure (the structure could be complex, curvy or layered but based on any polyhedra ), based on a radial polygon system (6, 8, 10, 12 sides).
The grid is not drawn, not embossed, it is cut into the body. Like a star-shaped lacework, a relief skin is generated. Each face of the resulting “walls” of the star becomes an individual surface for Braille inscriptions, linework, or micro-geometry.
